The Blogging Community of Dis-Unity

We blog, we type; Call it what you want. Online we are a community of one.

My question is this:

If out and about, would we talk (verbally) to each other?
Society, and I believe us, to a lesser extent are unwilling to mix it up with others. We have become so set it our ways that we don't want or are unwilling to hear others opinions on anything not near and dear to our heart.

Jak-O ... Are you calling me stubborn and opinionated. Not me, but I am always right .... lol. Kidding! Not about the stubborn part though!!

Online we are all online, but sadly, I don't always see a community of one. Alot of bashing, and one upping!

I think we tend to have a first impression based on the first few things that are said to us by others in the posts agreeing, or ripping our post. Same applies when we meet someone for the first time. As we size up the person,  we develope a first impression. That impression sticks until it is replaced with something else. This is where the mixing it up can end with a quickness (whether here or a public forum).

That being said, I like to mix it up in life, especially being that I am in sales (I like people). I am sure that given the opportunity I would get along great with most of the people on these boards. There is way to much hate, and dis-connect to add to it!

Nice Blog Yo!

Definitely maybe. It depends where and when. If I am at a Sports bar during March Madness in AZ which I usually am - definitely. At work - yes I would talk to co-workers who are sports fan. Shopping - probably not nor at the grocery store. What is cool about the internet is to be able to talk to people from all over the country. d2w

Your right the internet lets you talk across the country but I would not talk to the person next door about sports or any thing else.

Thanks for the posts.  It does seem odd that it's so much easy to talk to a total stranger about things than someone who you "kinda" know.  But looking t how much and how often we all tend to post, there's a good chance may of us don't get out often.
